Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of builderada.com and any pages, forms or content on it (the "Site"), operated by Builderada ("Builderada," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Using this site

You may use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with evaluating or requesting home renovation services. You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information through any form
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers or any connected system
• Use any automated system to scrape, harvest or copy content from the Site
• Interfere with the operation of the Site or with any other user's use of it

2. Our services

Builderada coordinates, schedules and manages residential renovation projects across northern Illinois. Depending on the trade and the scope of your project, the work may be performed by qualified independent contractors engaged for that project. Where an independent contractor performs the work, the written agreement covering that work is entered into between you and that contractor, and you will receive the complete terms in writing for your review before you sign anything.

All contractors engaged on a Builderada project are required to maintain their own general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, and to comply with the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act and all other applicable state and local requirements.

3. Estimates and pricing

Any pricing, timeline or scope information appearing on the Site is general and illustrative only. It is not an offer, a quote or a binding commitment. A binding price is established only in a signed written agreement following an in-person assessment of your property.

Submitting a form on the Site is a request for an estimate. It does not create a contract, does not obligate Builderada to provide services, and does not obligate you to purchase anything.

4. Contacting you

When you submit your contact information through the Site, you agree that Builderada may contact you by phone, text message or email regarding your request. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may opt out of marketing email using the unsubscribe link in any message. Opting out of marketing does not stop communications directly related to a project already underway.

5. Content and trademarks

All content on the Site, including text, graphics, layouts, photographs, logos and the Builderada name and mark, is owned by Builderada or used under license and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.

Images on the Site may include representative or illustrative material and do not necessarily depict a specific completed project unless it is expressly identified as one.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Builderada disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, with respect to the Site and its content.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that any information on it is complete, current or accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Builderada will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising out of your use of the Site. Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies you may have under a signed agreement for renovation work, or any rights that cannot be limited or excluded under Illinois law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Builderada and its officers, employees and agents from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these terms.

8. Third-party links

The Site may link to websites operated by third parties. We do not control those sites, are not responsible for their content or practices, and provide the links only for convenience. Their inclusion is not an endorsement.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version takes effect when it is posted, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
